The new startup studio dedicated to creating future leaders in Artificial Intelligence
Co-founded by the entrepreneurial duo Eric Cholet and Jean Gourdault-Montagne, Propulsion today announces its official launch as a startup studio exclusively dedicated to the creation and development of natively AI ("AI-First") companies.
Propulsion distinguishes itself through its profound conviction that AI is not merely a new productivity tool, but a strategic necessity for businesses, poised to redefine economic models, value creation, and the very notion of work.
An "AI-First" playbook: Small teams amplified by AI, big impact
To effectively capture this opportunity, Propulsion aims to create several "AI-First" startups each year by leveraging the "Small Teams, Big Impact" principle: small, agile teams whose strength and speed of execution are amplified by AI, capable of making a considerable impact on existing high-value markets.
"Rethinking a business model through the lens of AI requires automating complex, high-value-added processes, but also redefining them by rethinking the role of humans in this new value chain. Our use of AI allows us to boost a team's productivity, speed, and agility, which is key to rapidly testing the commercial viability of our startups," states Jean Gourdault-Montagne.

The studio supports both ambitious entrepreneurs wishing to partner and launch into AI, and large companies via a "Corporate Studio" model.

We support founders by providing them with initial funding and the necessary resources to start and accelerate their AI startup, and large companies by rapidly deploying AI projects or dedicated joint ventures," declares Eric Cholet.

Before launching Propulsion, Jean and Eric co-founded and managed Marketshot / Choisir.com, one of the leading players in energy and telecom offer comparison. The company was sold in 2021 to La Poste Group. Previously, Eric co-founded Equancy, one of the first consulting firms specializing in digital and data, and Jean gained his experience in the automotive industry (Autobiz, Peugeot, Nissan Europe).
